In its publication “General Administrative Principles: Corporate Governance and Tax Risk Management” (OECD, 2009), the OECD emphasizes the critical role of tax authorities in ensuring that company leaders understand their responsibility for both the formulation and outcomes of tax strategies. Today, tax authorities around the world are increasingly promoting Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and building constructive relationships with businesses of all sizes, including micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Company leaders are ultimately accountable to shareholders for the implementation of sound corporate governance practices. GCG is a key pillar of sustainable and successful business operations. The global financial crises and growing uncertainty have only underscored the importance of transparency and governance. In response, CEOs and executives of major corporations are now integrating tax risk management into their broader corporate management frameworks—recognizing its potential impact on both financial performance and corporate reputation (OECD, 2009).

Tax risks often arise from the inherent complexity of tax systems and regulatory interpretations. As businesses apply these rules to transactions, differences in interpretation between companies and tax authorities are inevitable. For this reason, experts across jurisdictions now advocate that tax risks be managed with the same rigor and structure as any other form of business risk.

At Pratama Indomitra, we fully recognize the importance of proactive tax risk management. That is why we established this firm—to provide expert guidance, tailored solutions, and unwavering support for businesses navigating today’s complex tax landscape. With more than a decade of experience, we have successfully supported boards of directors and CEOs in developing and implementing effective tax risk strategies aligned with prevailing regulations.

Our mission goes beyond compliance. We are committed to promoting Good Corporate Governance, supporting annual reporting, and encouraging environmental and social responsibility through sustainability reporting. At Pratama, we stand as a trusted partner for those who seek excellence, accountability, and sustainable growth.
